Welcome to Stephanies Kitchen
Home cooking, accessible for all!!
Let’s face it! Food is not just a necessity to keep us alive! It brings us joy, brings us comfort, and brings us together! I want to share with you food that will do just that. But also show cooking at home can be enjoyable, affordable and simple!
Where I started
Scotland 2004: I found myself, as a waitress, being thrown into the kitchen as our chef had broken his wrist. For years food had been a way to express myself, a way to bring people together, and an escape from some dark time’s in my life. But this was definitely a ‘challenge’. Fast forward to 2021- Suffolk. Now in our third lockdown, and for myself on furlough yet again! I’m sure for many it seems like Groundhog Day! Same thing day in day out. The one thing that doesn’t have to be like that, though, is our food! Although I love “cheffy”, elaborate, fancy food (I’m sure we all do), there is nothing more comforting (for me) than pottering in the kitchen and creating something. Be that creation on a budget, from leftovers, store cupboard remnants, or from a thoroughly planned out meal. I’d like to share with you lovely people, my recipes, ideas, even my fails. And any questions or feedback, don’t hesitate to give me a shout. Anyone who knows me knows my favourite thing to talk about is food! Enjoy! And keep on cooking!
